I love Emmy the Great, but this isn't her style. Too mainstream... Nothing special. Please, Emmy, keep on singing your own songs :-*

I love her solo stuff but it's great to hear her sing something joyous and innocent.

Of course she is different in this track. She's hired as a voice - a collaborator. Artists and musicians appreciate the chance to break away from their own style as much as a listener enjoys variety.

@artboy1963 I personally think that track in the background was soothing. Just because the sound is synthetic, doesn't mean it's talentless and commercial. Trust me, I know from first hand experience. It requires HELLA talent.

Are you all possibly saying Norman Cook, Fatboy Slim, is commercial? I mean, sure, he was fucking popular because of Rockafeller Skank but we are talking about a legend amongst electronic acts. Get real amigos. Brighton Port Authority was a fantastic collaboration between Fatboy Slim and the various artists featured on ITWGNABB

i mean the production makes her sound like a million other wannabees where as if she was encouraged to be just herself the sound and style would be her and her alone

You mean a video or the music accompanying her singing? |
